Background:
Welcome to the website of
Dr. Barbara Lino

This site was designed to provide you with information about
the professional health services I offer as a licensed
psychologist in New York and New Jersey. This site also
gives you useful links to organizations and agencies that
can further assist you in obtaining relevant and accurate
information about various psychological and learning
disorders and related issues.

For over 20 years my practice has spanned several related
areas of psychology. I have extensive knowledge and
experience in clinical, educational, school, developmental
and health psychology. I have appeared on television
programs and been interviewed on child development for
magazines such as Parents and Parenting. I have taught
undergraduate and graduate psychology and school
psychology courses, as well as provided supervision to
psychology doctoral and post-doctoral trainees.

I have been described as a dynamic speaker, and regularly
lecture and conduct workshops to school personnel,
parents and health care professionals. I received my Ph.D.
at CUNY. I was formerly Acting Chief at the Institute for Child
Development at Hackensack University Medical Center, New
Jersey, where I helped to establish and directed the
ADD/ADHD program. As a psychotherapist, I have followed
several families over generations. In the case of individuals
with ADD/ADHD, I have worked with families from the point
of diagnosis to high school and college graduation, onto
adulthood and their having children. I am grateful for this
opportunity which has broadened and deepened my
understanding of this, and other disorders.
